GREENSBORO, N.C., USA – Syngenta launched the redesigned Pest Patrol website (www.syngentaus.com/PestPatrol), enabling growers to access pest alerts on-the-go via a mobile site, as well as through an easier-to-navigate desktop site. Visitors can also subscribe to receive text message alerts when new updates from leading experts across 10 Southern states are posted to the site.

“For years, Pest Patrol alerts have complemented on-farm scouting and helped growers and consultants make more timely decisions about pest management," said Ann Rengel, marketing communications lead, Syngenta. “With streamlined mobile access and the redesigned website, getting this information just became even easier."

Visitors simply select a state to view expert profiles and pest updates for local areas. To be notified when new updates are posted, visitors can sign up to receive text message alerts by:
  1. Registering online at www.syngentaus.com/PestPatrol, or via text message by texting the corresponding short-code word listed in the table below to 97063.
  2. Replying to the confirmation text they receive by texting the letter “Y" to complete registration.
  3. Repeating steps 1 and 2 for each entomologist from whom they wish to receive updates.
The locally recorded updates offer timely insights about field conditions, pest threats and treatment recommendations. The recordings give growers and consultants more information to formulate pest-management plans and help retailers anticipate what chemicals, such as Besiege® insecticide, Boundary® 6.5 EC herbicide and Quadris Top® SBX fungicide, are needed in the field. Staying ahead of pests can help growers realize improved yield and quality.
