Syngenta strengthens U.S. Seeds business with leadership appointments

  • David Elser appointed to newly created position, as Head of Top Producer Grower Segment
  • G.W. Fuhr joins Syngenta Seeds as Head of U.S. Branded Sales and Biofuels
  • Leadership appointments underscore ongoing growth and strategic direction of Syngenta Seeds

MINNETONKA, Minn., U.S.A., June 11, 2018 – Syngenta today announced two key leadership appointments in its U.S. Seeds business.


David Elser

Syngenta veteran David Elser will take on the newly created role of Head of Top Producer Grower Segment. He will work to ensure the needs of this key customer segment are met. With a strong background in Seeds and a 21-year tenure with Syngenta, Elser knows Syngenta customers and understands their needs, most recently leading U.S. Seeds Sales and Biofuels. Elser grew up on his family’s corn and soybean farm in northwest Iowa and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa.


G.W. Fuhr

G.W. Fuhr joins Syngenta as Head of U.S. Branded Sales and Biofuels. Fuhr spent more than 19 years at DuPont Pioneer leading teams in both North America and Europe, as well as working globally to develop a long-term portfolio strategy. Throughout his career, he has led teams in Sales, Marketing, Product Line Management and Portfolio Management. Fuhr studied agribusiness at Iowa State University and received his MBA from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
