Save on preplant costs by paying after you transplant in the field
Your Syngenta Full Count dealer invoices you after the plants are delivered to the field at our standard 60-day terms. With increasing costs associated with field preparation, fertilizer and irrigation setup, preplant cost savings increases your cash flow right from the start.

Receive preferred volume pricing
By placing a "contracted order," you receive a discount based on the total cumulative volume of plants purchased through the program. This discount can save you $15-$30 per acre, dependent on the order quantity. Discounts apply regardless of region, transplant producer or varieties contracted.


Super just got a whole lot better

Super Pollenizer Super Pollenizer benefits
SP-5 technology eliminates the need to plant a traditional seeded watermelon variety as a pollenizer. This is an important advantage considering that traditional pollenizers can occupy from 25 to 33 percent of a field. Using SP-5, growers can now utilize that area to produce additional seedless watermelon. Benefits may include:
  • Increased yield of seedless watermelons from 25 to 33 percent* as there is no dedicated space needed for a diploid (seeded) pollinator as in conventional systems
  • Elimination of damage to the seedless watermelon crop caused by harvesting the seeded pollinator and eliminates costs associated with organizing separate field crew and packing operations
  • Maximization of the yield of seedless watermelons because the crop can be managed for growing solely seedless watermelon
  • Option to produce and manage seeded watermelons in a separate field; if you want to plant and market seeded watermelons you can now do so in a separate field
  • Potential for additional harvests of seedless watermelons because of the durable vine and extended pollen supply of the SP-5 pollenizer
SP-5 offers all the features of the industry’s first Super PollenizerTM, plus the added benefit of intermediate resistance to Fusarium wilt races 0, 1 and 2, anthracnose race 1 and powdery mildew. It has shown to be very durable under disease pressure and adverse growing conditions. SP-5 produces more runners and branches than SP-4, plus it has an early and extended flowering period.

The Super Pollenizer, SP-5, eliminates the need to plant traditional seeded watermelon in seedless watermelon fields.

SP-5 has an open, lacy vine that grows over the top of seedless watermelon vines.
No dedicated space required

Standard seeded watermelon varieties can occupy dedicated space in a seedless watermelon field, accounting for up to 25 to 33 percent of the area. SP-5 requires no dedicated space in a seedless watermelon field. Supported on a multi-branched thin vine plant with lacy-type leaves, SP-5 grows over the top of commercial seedless varieties and produces pollen over an extended period of time. A field can be planted with a seedless watermelon variety at a standard spacing with the pollenizer interplanted (3:1 ratio) between every third and fourth seedless watermelon plant. With the disease resistance and plant health of SP-5, it is possible to achieve a 4:1 ratio in many planting areas.
