Industry Leadership

As a leader in agriculture innovation, Syngenta is committed to discovery and sharing knowledge and insight with our industry colleagues. We sponsor industry events, and our experts (who are authorities in their respective fields) participate in panel discussions, author scientific articles, white papers, blog posts and more, and mentor the next generation of agriculture industry leaders.

Syngenta CEO Erik Fyrwald discussed the scientific background of gene editing at the 2018 Wall Street Journal Global Food Forum in New York City.

Syngenta Biotechnology founder and Distinguished Science Fellow Mary-Dell Chilton, Ph.D., received the 2013 World Food Prize, and many others prestigious accolades, for her scientific work, which led to the development of a number of genetically enhanced crops, grown around the globe on more than 420 million acres, mostly by small, resource-poor farmers in developing countries.

Paul Castle, Head of Communications at the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture, wrote about scaling up water-saving initiatives to support sustainable development for “Uncharted Waters” blog series from the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
