        Residual That Won't Quit

Why is it important to have clean, weed-free rows until canopy?

As soon as weeds emerge, they begin to compete with the crop for light and vital soil resources. It takes about 8-10 weeks to reach corn canopy, which marks the unofficial finish line for the critical time for weed control. Once canopy is reached, corn will out-compete any late-emerging weeds - shading them so they cannot use resources needed to achieve your seed genetics' maximum yield potential.

Research shows even small weeds can cause irreversible changes to corn’s growth and development. That’s why clean rows from start to finish deliver the maximum potential ROI, more than just clean rows at the finish.

        Consistently Outperforms

The four powerful residual ingredients in Storen complement each other, delivering consistency of control compared to other leading corn herbicides. This means fewer weed escapes, less weed interference and a reduced weed seed bank for future years.

Storen delivered 95% weed control in 9 of 10 fields, showing more consistent control than Resicore
Resicore delivered >95% weed control in only 5 of 10 fields, showing less consistency than Storen

        Exclusive Crop Safening Technology

Storen is the first and only pyroxasulfone-containing corn herbicide that contains the crop safener technology, MetaSafe. This formulation technology helps Storen stay gentle on corn, tough on weeds. By increasing the number of enzymes in the corn plant that break down pyroxasulfone, MetaSafe reduces the potential of crop injury.

        FAQ

Does Storen® corn herbicide control tough weeds like Palmer amaranth and waterhemp?

Yes. Storen® corn herbicide is labeled to control tough broadleaf weeds like Palmer amaranth and waterhemp.

What length of residual weed control does Storen® corn herbicide help provide?

Storen® corn herbicide provides long-lasting residual weed control through crop canopy, keeping corn rows consistently clean up to three weeks longer than Resicore® and TriVolt®.1

1Storen length-of-control advantage based on 2022 Syngenta and university-replicated trials comparing Storen to Resicore and TriVolt.

When can Storen® corn herbicide be applied?

Storen® corn herbicide can be applied from 28 days before planting up to the V8 leaf stage, giving you a flexible application window for preemergence and early post-emergence weed control in corn.

For best results, apply preemergence to stop early-season weed competition. See the Storen label for detailed rates and use patterns.

What is MetaSafe™ Formulation Technology in Storen® corn herbicide?

MetaSafe™ Formulation Technology is the built-in crop safener technology in Storen® corn herbicide that helps safen pyroxasulfone for use in corn. Storen is the first and only pyroxasulfone-containing corn herbicide with MetaSafe technology, which helps reduce the potential for crop injury while enabling strong residual weed control.

How does Storen® corn herbicide compare to other residual corn herbicides?

In field trials, Storen® corn herbicide provided, on average, 93% control of Palmer amaranth and waterhemp 64 days (9+ weeks) after a preemergence application. Compared with other residual corn herbicides in the trial, Storen delivered 20% greater control than Resicore®, 40% greater control than TriVolt®, 66% greater control than Corvus® and 48% greater control than SureStart® II.3
