Dr. Catchot has been an extension entomologist at Mississippi State University since 2004. He received his Ph.D. in entomology in 2002. He is responsible for integrated pest management in cotton, soybean, corn, wheat, and grain sorghum. Common pests he reports on include redbanded stink bugs, thrips, and soybean loopers. Dr. Catchot also contributes management tips to the Mississippi Crop Situation Blog.
