
GREENSBORO, N.C., August 7, 2025 — Syngenta announced today the appointment of Wendell Calhoun as Senior Communications Manager for Syngenta North America Crop Protection, a leading science-based ag tech company with the mission to bring plant potential to life.
Calhoun is joining the Communications team from his previous position as the Strategic Marketing and Operations Manager, building on his 30-year-long career with the company. In his new role, Calhoun will be responsible for working closely with the company’s Crop Protection and Corporate Communications team on media relations and issues management efforts.

Calhoun has built extensive experience across the organization, progressing through roles in Public Affairs, Agricultural Sales, Corporate Communications, and Marketing Communications. His expertise spans strategic communications, media relations, digital strategy, and product launch management. A recognized industry leader, he has earned multiple National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) Awards for his innovative communication approaches, achievements he plans to build upon as he steps into this expanded leadership role.
