New Genetics Make This Hybrid Stand Out in More Ways Than One

This outstanding hybrid is very aggressive, has good early-season vigor and great potential for high yield. As Todd McRoberts, U.S. agronomy manager for NK Seeds, puts it, “NK9175 is a plant-me-first hybrid. Because if you’re following a wheat, alfalfa or soybean rotation, you’re going to see very, very good emergence for early-season planting.”

With extremely good disease and stress tolerance, it also has a large, modified root that can handle the stress across fine, medium and coarse soil types. “The root type here helps handle the stress across different soils and pHs that could range from mid-fives to low eights,” says McRoberts. “And looking at it from a season-long standpoint, you’ve got a product that shows early vigor and a strong stand throughout harvest.”

Taking into consideration what growers in the Dakotas, northern Minnesota, and northern and central Wisconsin want, this is the hybrid that can deliver for them.
