Gramoxone SL 3.0 Application & Stewardship

Tank-Mix Partners

DRAFT

The information provided is meant to be a guide for successful tank-mixing with Gramoxone® SL 3.0 herbicide.

For successful tank-mixing with Gramoxone SL 3.0, the following order of addition of tank-mix partners should be followed:
  1. Fill spray tank half full with clean water or other approved carriers such as clear liquid fertilizer
  2. Add nonionic surfactant (NIS) containing 80% or more surface-active agent at a minimum of 2 pt/100 (0.25% v/v) gallons of finished spray volume to tank
  3. Begin tank agitation and continue throughout mixing and spraying
  4. Add dry formulations (WP, DF, etc.) to tank
  5. Add liquid formulations (SC, EC, L, etc.) to tank
  6. Add Gramoxone SL 3.0 to tank
  7. Add crop oil concentrate or methylated seed oil to tank where needed
  8. Fill remainder of spray tank
In tank-mixtures, NIS should always be used and added to the tank first. This has proven key to ensure successful tank-mixing in lab testing and field experience with an extensive array of pesticides. If other adjuvants such as crop oil concentrate, methylated seed oil or blends are desired in addition to NIS, then add them to the tank just prior to bringing the mix to full volume as described above.

Products listed have demonstrated compatibility when mixed with Gramoxone SL 3.0 under laboratory conditions. Results from field tank-mixes may vary due to water quality, fertilizer quality, order of addition of tank-mix partners, and other variables. Gramoxone SL 3.0 may be tank-mixed with products not listed, so long as successful tank-mix experience with previous Gramoxone® brands has been demonstrated. To ensure compatibility, maintain agitation during the spray application and do not allow unsprayed product to remain in the spray tank overnight.
