Dr. Kerns is Professor in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University, the Texas State IPM Coordinator and a Row Crop Extension Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. Dr. Kerns received his B.S. degree in entomology from Texas A&M University, a M.S. in entomology from Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D. in entomology from Auburn University. His research focuses on developing integrated pest management programs in cotton, corn, grain sorghum and soybeans. Common pests he reports on include cotton fleahoppers, bollworms and sugarcane aphids.
