Mr. Reed is the Texas A&M AgriLife integrated pest management extension agent for Hale, Swisher and Floyd counties in TX. A native to the area, he holds a master's degree in entomology from Texas Tech and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Services and Development from Tarleton State University. Mr. Reed worked as an independent crop consultant and private researcher in the Hale and Swisher area from 2000 to 2012. As a graduate student, he worked in the Cotton Improvement Lab for Texas A&M AgriLife Research at Texas Tech. In 2013 Mr. Reed took over as EA-IPM in Hale & Swisher. His area of expertise is applied field crop entomology and related research focusing on pests of cotton, sorghum, corn, wheat, alfalfa and sunflowers.
