The Challenge

Overhwelming consumer demands

As climate change and its effects are seen globally, consumers are demanding more sustainable business practices and transparency. This taxes the entirety of the supply chain and prevents companies from realistically fulfilling all downstream demands.

The Solution

Syngenta is partnering with General Mills to deliver key insights from growers to consumers through its Cropwise Sustainability app.

Through the Cropwise Sustainability app, growers of General Mills can access an easy-to-understand comprehensive report comparing them to their peers on sustainable business practices. The report is generated based on a series of practice-based, farm-level questions and takes no more than 30 minutes for a farmer to complete.

This tool allows for an informed discussion all the way up the value chain helping General Mills deliver the information that consumers demand. Additionally, it gives General Mills the ability to set outcome-based, targeted goals for improvement with their growers in order to further their overall sustainability and efficiency.
