MINNETONKA, MN, USA, – As 2016 planting approaches,
Syngenta encourages growers to reflect on the 2015 growing season. Evaluating what positively or negatively affected soybean yields one year provides insight for the next year’s management plans and variety selections.
Despite a delayed planting season due to an especially wet spring, Kansas soybean growers still found success with their soybean yields. Rain-soaked fields posed a risk for sudden death syndrome (SDS) as well as other diseases and pests.

NK® Soybeans S38-W4 brand, an agronomically well-balanced variety with excellent stress tolerance, performed well for many growers last season. In 2015, this NK variety out-yielded Asgrow
® varieties by 1.8 bushels per acre (bu/A) in 73 trials in Kansas. NK Soybeans S38-W4 brand will provide Kansas soybean growers the opportunity to maximize yield potential in 2016 due to its strong charcoal root rot, SDS and frogeye leaf spot resistance. This variety is also noted for its strong emergence in early-planting conditions.
