DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., USA, Nov. 10, 2023 ― Syngenta is proud to announce it received multiple awards during the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo, held in Indianapolis, Indiana, Nov. 1-4. David Hollinrake, global head of strategy & portfolio management at Syngenta Seeds, was awarded a VIP Citation. The Syngenta FFA Alumni & Supporters Business Resource Group chapter was selected as the outstanding corporate chapter of the year and two Syngenta employees were recognized with Honorary American FFA Degrees. These awards are a reflection of Syngenta’s ongoing commitment to support the future of American agriculture.

Having served as a local FFA chapter president, Hollinrake knows firsthand the positive impact FFA has on future leaders. “I’m honored to be recognized by FFA, an organization with a lofty vision of creating the next generation of leaders who will change the world through an immersive experience in agricultural education and leadership development programming,” said Hollinrake. “I accredit the organization for my own personal growth. FFA helped me develop the foundational skills that have enabled me to have the career I have today, and I am proud to be connected with the next generation of leaders.”
The Syngenta Alumni & Supporters Business Resource Group chapter was recognized for topping the list for Give FFA Day, which took place this year on Feb. 23 during National FFA Week. Give FFA Day is an opportunity for individuals and companies to support the organization and agricultural education through donations. In just 24 hours, Syngenta employees and corporate partners collectively donated more than $100,000, a 75% increase from 2022. The funds raised support the more than 850,000 FFA members through various programs at the local, state and national levels.
In addition, Patent Scientist Sabrina Patton and People & Organization Development Lead Brandon Bell received Honorary American FFA Degrees. These awards recognize individuals who have provided exceptional service on a national level to agriculture, agricultural education or FFA.
