Supporting our Communities

We understand the importance and significance of our local communities. We are a proud and active supporter of universities, charities, community groups, volunteerism and more.

Over 4,400 Syngenta employees work in more than 40 states, including Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. We know the importance of being a good neighbor and an active member and supporter of our local communities. After all, that’s where our employees, customers and suppliers live and work.

Universities

For many years, Syngenta’s U.S. Agricultural Scholarship program has demonstrated support for our communities, and for the next generation of American farmers. Syngenta grants awards to agriculture students who are working to inspire future generations.

Community Groups

We encourage employee participation with and support of community organizations. Employees may use an hour of their normal work week for volunteer work on programs and initiatives that include adult literacy services, environmental conservation, performing arts, veterans’ services, and more.

Charities

Syngenta contributes to nonprofit and community-based organizations that support ag education, health, and economic development. With the American Heart Association (AHA), we have sponsored community events and golf tournaments, the Greensboro AHA and Stroke Walk. We also work with established community organizations like United Way to provide grants, disaster relief, food bank donations and more.

To nurture the next generation of ag leaders and sustainable agriculture, Syngenta sponsors conferences and supports educational organizations, including:

  • Farmer Mental Health
  • Agriculture Future of America
  • The Crop Life Foundation
  • Minorities in Agriculture (MANRRS)
  • National FFA
  • Women In Agribusiness
